NextScene Kids & Youth Film Festival is an international platform dedicated to films for children and young audiences. The festival approaches cinema as an artistic experience, not merely as entertainment or education.

In its second edition, NextScene continues to refine its curatorial direction, focusing on clarity, consistency, and meaningful viewing experiences for young audiences.

“Stories Along the Way” serves as a curatorial framework rather than a fixed narrative theme. The festival welcomes films that engage with everyday experiences, growth, transitions, and the process of becoming.

We are interested in works that:

  • tell stories from an authentic point of view
  • focus on how the film feels and works
  • consider the experience of young viewers
  • respect age, context, and perspective

All genres are welcome.

Open to filmmakers aged 22 and under (at the time of production). Submissions may include:

  • Short films
  • Feature films
  • Animation
  • Documentary
  • Hybrid and experimental works

Films must align with the festival’s curatorial approach toward children and youth audiences.

NextScene treats age classification as a viewing experience guide rather than a censorship rating. Films are programmed based on emotional, narrative, and contextual suitability for specific age groups.
