Theme 2025: Growing Through Imagination 22–24 August 2025 The inaugural edition of NextScene Kids & Youth Film Festival 2025 presented 41 films, consisting of 38 short films and 3 feature films, from 13 countries across Asia, Latin America, Europe, and Africa. Participating countries included Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, Azerbaijan, Germany, Spain, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Nepal, and South Africa. The films were organised into seven curated programmes and screened at Kineforum, TIM Jakarta. Best Film Award Audience Choice Award Special Jury Mention These films were recognised for their strong storytelling, cinematic craft and authentic youth perspectives. Across three days, the festival presented: The programme was designed to engage children, young people, families, and the wider public.
